 Sheet metal processing is called sheet metal processing. For example, the use of plates to make chimneys, iron buckets, ventilation pipes, round places, funnel-shaped, etc.; the primary process is cutting, bending and bucking, bending and forming, welding, riveting, etc., which requires some knowledge. The process steps of precision sheet metal processing are as follows:


1. Drawing. Plan and draw the part drawing of its sheet metal part, also known as three views, whose function is to express the structure of its sheet metal part by drawing method.

2. Make an open drawing. That is to say, the parts with disorderly structure are opened into a flat piece.

3. Blanking. There are many methods of blanking:

1. Laser cutting: the laser cutting method is used to cut out the structural shape of the plate in a large iron plate.

2. Blanking of punch: it is the stamping forming of plate structure after the parts are opened in one or more steps by the punch. Its advantages are short working hours, high efficiency, can reduce processing costs, often used in mass production.

3. NC cutting: NC machining program should be written first when NC cutting. It is to use programming software to write the open drawing into the recognizable program of NC machine tool. Let it follow these procedures step by step on a piece of iron plate, and make the structural shape of its plate.

4. Flanging and tapping. Flanging, also known as hole drawing, is to draw a slightly larger hole on a smaller base hole, and then tap on the hole drawing. This adds strength and prevents slippage.

5. Punch processing. Generally, punch machining includes punching and angle cutting, punching and blanking, punching and convex hull, punching and tearing, hole drawing and other processing methods to reach the processing intention.

6. Press riveting. As far as the press riveting is concerned, there are often used press riveting studs, press riveting nuts, press riveting screws, etc. the press riveting method is generally completed by punch or hydraulic press riveting machine, and riveted to sheet metal parts.

7. Bending. Bending is to fold 2D flat parts into 3D parts. Its processing needs a folding machine and the corresponding bending mold to complete the operation. It also has a certain bending order. The principle is that the next knife will not be folded first, but will be folded later

VIII. Welding. Welding is to weld multiple parts together to achieve the intention of machining or to weld the edge seam of a single part to add its strength. Generally, there are several processing methods: CO2 gas maintenance welding, argon arc welding, spot welding, robot welding, etc. The selection of these welding methods is based on the actual requirements and raw materials. Generally speaking, CO2 gas maintenance welding is used for iron plate welding; argon arc welding is used for aluminum plate welding; robot welding is mainly used when the material is large and the weld is long.

9. Appearance treatment. Surface treatment generally has phosphating coating, electroplating color zinc, chromate, baking paint, oxidation, etc.

X. sheet metal assembly. The so-called assembly is to group multiple parts or components together according to certain methods to make them into a complete material. In the meantime, it is necessary to pay attention to the maintenance of materials and parts, without scratches. Assembly is the final step of the completion of a material. If the material cannot be used due to scratch, it needs to be reworked and redone, which will waste a lot of processing time and add the cost of the material. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the maintenance of materials.
